Why Gokseong is Most Beautiful in May
In Gokseong, Jeollanam-do, where the Seomjin River winds through the valley, a miraculous sight unfolds every May. The 1004 Rose Garden, located within a charming Train Village built on a repurposed railroad, features 37,000 rose bushes representing 1,004 varieties from around the globe.
Beyond the flowers, experience the romance of riding a vintage steam locomotive along the river, breathe in the rose-scented breeze, and enjoy the magical night illumination. For 2026, the festival has expanded its night program, staying open until 10 PM.
